Apple Mac Internet Explorer Configuration
For uploaded Reason files to work on both platforms, Mac users must configure their browser to handle Reason files correctly. Here is an easy to use tutorial to ensure proper handling of all Reason files both outgoing and incoming. No more generic icons!
NOTE: For those of you who are still having problems after implementing the settings suggested in this tutorial, be sure to download a very cool tool called "PropDrop" from the Reason guru Peff.
1. Open Internet Explorer. Hit "Apple - ;", or select Preferences under the edit menu.
2. Click on the File Helper view. (See Picture)
3. Above the list in the right pane, click the word "Extension" to sort the file helper after the file extension names. (See Picture)
4. For all the file types you don't have, probably the ones that appear as SimpleText icons on the desktop, click the 'Add...' underneath the list on the right. If you already have certain file types, but they are incorrect or not working properly, click the 'Change...' button.
5. In the Edit File Helper window, (See Picture) enter this information from the table for all required file types.
NOTE: Make sure you enter a space after those filetypes that have 3 characters
6. Click OK in the Edit File Helper window.
7. Click OK in the Preferences window.
8. Create kickin' Reason tracks!
